BELVEDERE, Sint Maarten – En una Ceremonia de Entrega de Llaves organizada por el Ministro de VROMI Egbert J Doran y la Fundacin de Desarrollo de Vivienda de Sint Maarten (SMHDF). los inquilinos de los Edificios A & B de Low Estate, Belvedere recibieron las llaves de sus apartamentos el 11 de octubre de 2022, se entregaron diecisis (16) llaves marcando la finalizacin de los 2 primeros edificios de este proyecto. PHILIPSBURG:--- The tenants of Buildings A & B of Low Estate, Belvedere received the keys to their apartments in a Key Giving Ceremony hosted by the Minister VROMI Egbert J Doran and the Sint Maarten Housing Development Foundation (SMHDF) on October 11, 2022. Sixteen keys were handed over marking the finalization of the first 2 buildings in this project. U20 National Basketball Team Captures Historical Win

Airport Road – On Monday August 28th, the U20 National Basketball team returned from Antigua after defeating  St. Kitts, where the team won 82-76 in the LIBA tournament. In 2015, the St. Maarten National team came in second place, but this year, they brought home the championship. The MVP was Mr. Jamal Ireland, an 18 year old student of the Milton Peters College.

“The Minister told Ireland and the rest of his team that she expects to see great things from the entire team.” Majority of the team will still be in school and under 20, allowing them to still be eligible to play at the next LIBA tournament.

Head of the Department of Sports, Jonelle Richardson, also congratulated the team, their coaches, the referee and physio therapist, who travelled with the team Read more

Foundation plans scholarship for highest scoring FBE pupil

PHILIPSBURG--Together We Can Foundation announced on Wednesday that it plans to grant a full highschool scholarship to the highest-scoring pupil of the 2015 foundation based education (FBE) exams.

This, the Foundation said via press release, is the mere reason of holding the Battle of The Fittest Tournament, amongst other types of fundraisers. “This tournament will take place in the month of July and we are encouraging companies to make a donation. Proceeds of these events will go towards the scholarship fund and other social projects we intend on executing in the near future.”
